Söll skiing: an overview

For the advanced skiers, the “Black Eagle” steep brings a lot of adrenaline, ideal for the skiers looking for a challenge. “Black Pipe” is an off-the-slopes piste to consider with 80% inclination. For the beginners, the “Hexenwiese” piste is ideal if you’re still getting your way around the powder snow of the Söl ski resort and are free to access it.

If you’re looking into learning and improving your ski skills, Hochsöll ski school is the place for it. There are slopes for different ski levels, and professional instructors will take care of you throughout. It’s recommended for beginners to use the blue slopes at all times, which are not too hard to get around.

Non-skiing activities in Söll

Tobogganing is the non-ski activity most searched for by non-skiers visitors as well as families. It’s an activity on the snow still but away from the slopes. It’s available days and evenings.

Another alternative is having a gondola experience. You can book a private one with friends (good for special occasions/celebrations) where you can have some Prosecco and snacks while taking advantage of Tyrol’s best views. The duration is around two hours. Rates are 195 euros per gondola, and it’s available Fridays and Saturdays.

Things to do in Söll village

If skiing isn’t for you, why not jump to the Söll village? Some top things to do in the village are visiting the Hexenwasser (meaning witch water), where you can explore the panoramic views and lakes, and walking through the rocks and stones barefoot. Another alternative is visiting the Catholic Church Pfarramt Söll; do not take a look just from the outside; go inside and be amazed. Going around Köpfing to see the landmarks is a must-do as well!

In addition, the Söll ski school is also accessible with courses for children. The Raven’s Rallye is an alternative option to put the kids in the snow for the first time. It’s a little treasure hunt activity with rewards by the end of it. Also free to participate.

Söll summer activities

Very popular among visitors and families is the Magical Witches’ Water at Söll Hohe Salve. A water-themed mountain area adapted to visitors of all ages. Another option is Ahornsee, a panoramic leisure area with a wide range of activities to keep visitors entertained. It is open from June to August, and it’s located at an altitude of 703 metres. There are sunbathing areas and wild lakes to refresh.

Our last suggestion is the swimming lake located in St. Johann in Tirol. The quality of the water is excellent, and activities like sliding and playgrounds are accessible, making it very family-friendly.
