Because there is no direct train from Geneva to Zermatt, you have to change in Visp. The train journey as a whole takes around 3 hours and 55 minutes. 

Zermatt is a car-free resort, so you can’t drive into the village. A transfer service from the airport or train station gets you to your accommodation fuss-free, and you don’t have to worry about parking.

Helicopter transfers are undoubtedly the quickest option, with transfer times of around 45 minutes. If you don’t want to break the bank, an Alps2Alps transfer takes around 3 hours.

The easiest airport to get to Zermatt is Geneva, with its excellent bus  and road links. However, Zurich is a close alternative, with slightly shorter train times.
