The next few months in the Alps are looking chock-a-block full of ski music festivals that combine the very best of the slopes, live music and late-night DJ sets.

Zermatt Unplugged


When: 14-18 April
Where: Zermatt, Switzerland

From a ‘Taste village’ where you can sample culinary delights from the region to a ‘Foyer Marquee’ with live music, jazz and regional wines- Zermatt Unplugged is a ski festival like you’ve never seen it before.

This intimate festival shows off talent from around Europe on stages spread throughout the village.

How to Get There


A transfer from Sion Airport will take 2 hours, weather and traffic dependant. Alternatively, it takes just over 3 hours to get from Geneva to Zermatt.


Tomorrowland Winter


When: 14-21 March 2020
Where: Alpe d’Huez, France

Join 25,000 people as they descend on the mountain town of Alpe d’Huez in France for Tomorrowland Winter 2020 – set at 200m altitude amongst impressive alpine peaks.

The festival organizers go all out to design inventive stages to entertain the crowds.

How to Get There


Geneva Airport to Alpe d’Huez transfers take an average of three hours.

Rock the Pistes


When: 15-21 March
Where: Portes du Soleil, France

This year sees the 10th edition of Rock the Pistes in Portes du Soleil. Enjoy a week of open-air concerts with your ski pass to 650km of slopes. 2800 revellers spread across two countries and 30+ apres ski concerts to choose from.

Snowboxx Ski Music Festival


When: 21-28 March
Where: Avoriaz, France

This open-air festival combines great music with wacky events such as their famous snowball fight and inflatable races.

Attracting past headliners like Fatboy Slim, Stormzy and Chase & Status, this festival is a must if you’re serious about big names in music.

This year’s line-up includes;

How to Get There


A transfer from Geneva to Avoriaz takes just over an hour and a half. Or, if you’re travelling from Chambery airport it will take an extra hour.


Chamonix Unlimited


When: 31st March- 5th April
Where: Chamonix, Mont Blanc, France

If you’re into house and techno, Chamonix Unlimited festival is for you. In addition to an incredible line-up, the festival also offers incredible ski and snowboarding opportunities in the ski resort of Chamonix.

Home to the Mont Blanc Massif, the highest mountain peak in the Alps, there’s something for everyone here- from thrilling cross country runs to alternative snow sports.

How to Get There


The most convenient way to get to the festival is to book a Geneva to Chamonix transfer which takes around an hour on a good day.


Snowbombing


When: 13-18 April
Where: Mayrhofen, Austria

Another big hitter attracting some of the biggest live acts and DJs around, Snowbombing in Austria knows how to put on a party. When you’re not exploring the varied slopes, take part in Bongo’s Bingo or the Snowlympic Games. From forest to igloo, party all over the picturesque Mayhrofen ski resort this April.

How to Get There


Salzburg to Mayrhofen transfers take around 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions. If you’re short on time, Innsbruck to Mayrhofen transfers are usually an hour quicker.

When: 17-26 April
Where: Crans Montana, Switzerland

This four day mountain festival in Switzerland combines electronic music with lively après ski and stunning alpine surroundings. From day till night, party on the slopes and find secret stages.

Musilac Festival


When: 11-14 July
Where: Aix-les-Bains, France

Located by the Lake Esplande in Aix-Les-Bains, Musilac has become the biggest pop-rock event in the area.

Rise Festival


When: 12-19 December
Where: Les Deux Alpes, France

In December, Rise Festival kicks off the ski season with a week of ski, snow, music and festivities. Explore 220km of slopes by day and head to the main stage or arena at night to see famous acts with incredible production.

Après ski parties take place each day at 3 and the festival village offers cosy bars, restaurants and late-night clubs.
